I used the creme colored hair and changed the coloring on Gimp, until i can find more time to tweak each of the other hairs in the Hair Stylist colors. Combining Nine's Clothes

Set up your gimp space with 2 images. One with a naked bimbo and one with the items you want to combine.

Starting with the top part, use the lasso tool to draw around the top. Right click and copy once you've done this. Then go to your naked bimbo, right click > edit > Paste as > New layer. Its really important you paste this as a new layer, you'll see why later

Now with the bottom, again use the lasso tool but also remember to include part of the dress a little above the area of the top. Again, right click and copy, then right click > edit > Paste as> New layer.

Now as you can see, the purple skirt overlaps the belt of the top. Switch the purple skirt layer with the white top (just drag the purple layer down on place)

And this is the final result

When i got a job in the official banner making thread, i started using glitters. One's that didn't move, people went crazy for them. Other banner makers asked me about them and told them what i used. Then they started using the glitters. One excuse was "because you're always getting the requests". And once i figured out how to make them move, i was cautious of these people. Nowdays, its just whatever. Though the following have not been created by me, if you're using them DON'T HOG THEM! When people asked me how to do these types of requests i ALWAYS told them how to do it, and supplied some of the following glitters. So yeah. Rant over.

Creating Clothing Edits in Gimp

Its finally here! Lol
Though not happy with the result, i done this quickly just to do this tutorial. Take your time. It takes me 20-30 minutes to do something decent. There is a total of 10 pictures in this tutorial, so i will post the steps BELOW them. This is a tutorial for a 2 colored dress. I will post one later if you want to use a texture. Also this is a dress tutorial but any other kind of outfit can be created using this method.

Before you start:
Its always helpful to google something you want to create as an extra guidline. Contests may want you to do a prom dress, or a gothic outfit. Google these and find one that looks relatively easy to do.

Listen to some music.

Always make a new layer for every step!

The tools you will need:
Pen Tool
Blur Tool
Lasso Tool

Using the lasso tool, draw your desired dress shape. I recommend that you "wave" the dress at the bottom, like i've shown in the second picture so that making shadows can be achieved easily. Mine is squared, but rounded waves at the end are also recommended. If you draw it flat, not only will it make shadows look weird, but it won't look "real". Ish.

New layer.
Color your dress in your desired color. If using black like i did, please use a slightly lighter color than black.

Now to line the dress. Pick a darker color than your main dress color. I chose the black black. Go to edit > Stroke Selection. A new window pops up asking for the thickness of the outline. Mine is 0.8, but 1.0 is cool to use too :)

Now here i added a secondary color repeating the previous steps.

New Layer. In the layer menu, change the Mode (usually set to normal). Change it to darken.
Using the pen tool, draw a line on the inside of your lining. Edit > Stroke Selection > 0.8/1.0. Do this for both sides. Now get the blur tool, and blur it. Go to your bimbo's boobies, and you may want to use the pen tool for a boobie shadow under her right boobie, or maybe both. (i totally forgot to do it while doing the dress but remembered when writing the tutorial)

Using the lasso tool, on the same layer, do your shadow lines. This can be done by clicking up to the belt like i did, and back down again, joining your beginning to the end. You'll get the "marching ants" line. Now grab your paintbrush and paint it. Repeat for all of the dresses "Innings"When you've done, edit>select none. Then blur each of these lines. (i set my blur to 10.00, the largest size and blur them together)

New Layer, set the mode to Soft Light and set your color to white.
This time, tthe lightness is just acheived by your paintbrush. My brush size was 25. Hold down shift (For a straight line) and just click up. And blur.

And as you probably know, i'm a sucker for fancy brushes, so i just used this lace one for an added effect

I think thats it. Horribly explained but i hope it helps people in some way

Moving Bimbos

Start off with setting up your banner or avatar with background and bimbo(s). Usually, a plain background would work nicely, but i used a gradient. If you use a plain color background, you should have no problem with messing it up when you switch the heads. If you use a gradient or fancy background, i go through how to fix it near the end. Duplicate this layer ONCE

Using the square tool at the top left, draw a square around the bimbo's head, stop right underneath the chin. Now, using the Flip tool, which is to the left of the text tool, flip the bimbo's head

Zoom in and look at the area's that need to be cleaned. Since you've duplicated the layer, usually the eraser tool can do this with no problem. The area's i've circled in red are the area's i need to clean up

The area in red is where i used the eraser. The area in purple is where i had to use the paintbrush tool. Repeat on all bimbo's and remember to check the other side of their head too!

Now, if you've used a plain background, skip this step. If you used a gradient or fancy background, then grab your magic wand tool and either

(a) Erase if you have a fancy background
or
(b) Re-do the gradient again.

Duplicate your background layer again and color one of the eyes your bimbo's eyeshadow color

Now you're done :) Remember to CROP the image and to save it as a GIF :)

Winking/Blinking bimbo. Starring Emilily!

Set up your avatar with background and bimbo. Use the border tutorial to set it up like mine. My avatar is 120x120

Try the eyedropper tool to find the color of eyeshadow. Emi's eyeshadow was green, but it kept showing up as brown, so i went to my color pallet and set the main color to green (see pallet below to set the main color)

<<<<< Duplicate your background layer.
Paint the eyelid of one eye with the eyeshadow color. If needed, paint a line of black lashes to make it more real.

If you wish to have it like this, then just save as a gif, an animation, and set your speed. Now i'm going to resume moving onto blinking bimbos

Firstly, duplicate the wink layer TWICE. Duplicate the open eyes layer twice.
Go to your second layer from the bottom. It should be the wink one. Paint over the second eye. Duplicate it once.

Organize your layers so they're set up as follows

The reason i added the two winks at the top is because i like adding extra's. See my result below. I added sparkles. I'll try to upload the brushes i used soon. So on one layer i added the pink ones, and on the other layer i added the green ones :D You can try to experiment :)

One last thing, although i didn't add it, text! Duplicate your text for each of your layers. re-arrange between layers and merge down.

Making your font "write"

Here's what we're going to learn how to do. Although it looks complicated, i managed to do the tutorial in 4 steps.

Set up the banner as normal. Duplicate your background twice. Type what you want to "write" itself. Right click on the font layer and select Alpha to Selection. Hit the delete button on your keyboard. This will remove the color, but keep the font outline

Merge the font layer down to the background copy. Now with your paint brush, paint on a bit of the font. Duplicate this layer, and continue with the paintbrush with another little piece. Duplicate. Paint. Repeat, until you have painted the whole of the writing. Remember, to make this effective, think to yourself, "How would i write this?" This should be how you paint the font

As you can see, i ended up with 29 copies of the background. It doesn't matter how many you end up with. Always duplicate and paint a piece.

To save, save it as a gif and save as animation. In the 3rd window, make sure the loop forever is checked. Select how fast you want it. Frame delay should be set to combine, so it flows to the next layer :)

Playing with PNG images

This usually works best with 2 bimbo images but if you only want one bimbo then don't add the second bimbo (in my case, i'd leave out the red and white bimbo)
Now when pasting the 2nd bimbo, she'll be in the same position as the 1st bimbo. Just click on the flip tool and click on her body to flip her.

Create a new layer. Select the box tool and make a box that overlaps both bimbos. Color it in one color, or use a pattern. If you want a glitter pattern (check at the end for moving glitter png banners) use the pattern fill tool.

Drag the colored box layer to the bottom. The top circle shows where that layer was, and now as you can see its on the bottom and behind the bimbos. Yay.

Create another new layer, and select the box tool again. This time, smaller than your first box. Color it with another color, and move it down, ontop of the first color

Just add some font.
If using glitter, go to the bottom of this post

When saving, save it as a png image. On the second window that pops up, select merge visible layers. 3rd window, make SURE THE SAVE BACKGROUND COLOR IS UNCHECKED. Otherwise it won't work :D

FOR GLITTERNESS

If using 2 bimbos, right click on the second one and merge down. Duplicate this three times.

New layer>Box tool. Duplicate this 3 times. Add one glitter fill per layer. Drag these down to the bottom so they're behind the bimbo.

New layer > Box tool. Do the second box. I don't recommend using glitter for this as it gets too much. Duplicate three times. Color it or if you really really REALLY want to use glitter. Drag these on top of each of the other box layers> Merge each of these down.

Now, drag the bimbo layer on top of the box layer. Merge down. (Bimbos should be on top of the box layer when merging down)

Font > A nice touch is using the same color or glitter as the border. If you need to write on a new line, remember to merge them down to one font layer. Duplicate the layer 3 times. If using glitter, check out the glitter text tutorial here.
Follow the remaining steps. Otherwise, if using one color, then just type with the font color the same as the border color. Save as above

Flashing Text

As i have stated before, when pasting a bimbo to your banner, right click > Edit > paste as > New layer. Usually we would merge it down. This time we're not as its important you don't! Leave it as a clipboard

Now, using the text tool, write your text. If this is the only line of text you want, then merge it down to the clipboard image and go to step x

Add a second line of text. Once this is done, right click on the 2nd line of text in the red box (or whatever your second line of text is) and merge it down to the 1st line of text (or similar). Then you'll be left with the 1st line of text and clipboard. Again, right click and merge the text down to the clipboard image.

Now, Step 1: Right click on Clipboard and duplicate it. Right click on Background and duplicate that too
Step 2: Drag the BackGround copy to the 2nd line, between the two clipboard images

As you can see i have zoomed into the picture by 400%. I recommend you do this so you know where you are filling the color. On the right side. click on the eye on the bottom 2 clipboard and backgrounds. Select your color on the left. Using the paint bucket tool, fill in the font with your selected color

Now for the second color. On the right side, click on the eye on the top 2 clipboard and backgrounds. This will make them disappear. Click on where the eye was for the bottom 2, to make them appear again. Choose your second color on the left side, and again, fill the text with color

This is ridiculously important, so it has its own step. REMEMBER TO CLICK ON THE EYE IN THE TOP 2 AGAIN SO ALL LAYERS WILL BE SHOWN! Right click on the Clipboard copy and merge it down to the Background copy. Right click on the Clipboard and merge it down to the Background

Now, using the crop tool in the red box on the left. Drag it on the banner. As you can see, the place you don't put the box will turn dark. To fix this, drag the box up, down, left, right, so that all of the banner stays bright. Click the center to crop it. Do the same on the second layer

Now to save!! Save it as a GIF. Remember to SAVE AS ANIMATION. Click Export. A second box will pop up. Unclick GIF Comment and make sure Loop Forever is clicked. The red box with 388 in it, is how fast or slow the text will flash. Its up to you. Click save

Glitter Backgrounds

First of all, create 3 layers. Background, Layer, Layer 1. Click on background and pattern fill it with glitter 1. Click on Layer, and pattern fill it with glitter 2. Click on layer 1 and pattern fill it with glitter 3

Right click > Edit > Paste as > New layer for your bimbo picture. Duplicate the clipboard twice so you have 3 bimbo images

Now drag the glitter backgrounds so there is one under every bimbo image. Order isn't really important :D And merge down the bimbo images to the glitter backgrounds

Now for cropping. I should have done this in a little more detail. Picture 1 is where i dragged the box and picture 2 is where i let go. Now i need to push where the arrows are so the whole layer is covered in lightness. Do this for the 3 layers

Now for your text. I have already done the 2 text lines and merged them into the one layer. Duplicate the Text layer twice

Now drag your 3 text boxes above the glitter bimbo backgrounds. Merge them down

Now to save it again :D Save it the same way as in the flashing text tutorial

Now before you go crazy with setting up your image, when you Create a new image, click on the plus next to advanced options. Then click the drop down arrow and select transparency

Type in your text. If you want more than one line, then just remember to merge them into the one layer. Duplicate it so you have 3 text layers

Now for the first glitter. Remember to click on the eye on the top 2 before you start pattern filling. Pick the first glitter and pattern fill the letters

Now when doing the 2nd and 3rd glitter, drag the text ontop of the background. For some reason, if you leave it where it was, it won't show you've glittered it. Click the eye so you can see where you need to fill it. Do this for the 2nd and 3rd glitter. Merge whichever glitter is ontop of the background

Save it as a gif. It may ask you to go back and crop it. Don't let gimp do it for you because gimp is gay and doesn't do it properly haha.

The reason you don't need a background is because, if you had the white background, it would turn out white. I know the MB forums are white and you wouldn't notice it, but if you want to put it in your About Me page, then the white background will show. With the Transparency, you have no background at it will look awesome in your About Me page :D

Making Borders

Open up a new document for a banner/avatar

These are the sizes i use but you can do any size

Banners: Box Shape - 300x300
Rectangle - 400x200
Avatars: 120x120
Signatures: 500x100 or 500x150

Step 1

Using the box tool, highlighted in red, make a box shape smaller than your image size. If it looks uneven then push or pull the sides.

As you can see, if you draw on the box, you will only be able to color the middle, and not the border you want. Go to select > Invert

Now, i've selected the paint bucket tool and chose pattern fill. You can use just one color by selecting the FG color fill, or you can click on the gradient tool and use a gradient. To use a gradient, on the bottom right of the right side toolbox, select a gradient (or make your own by selecting 2 colors for the FG and BG) and drag your mouse from left to right

When posting the bimbo, always, Always, ALWAYS, right click > edit > Paste as > New layer. As some people post bimbos with that dreaded white background its easier to make the bimbo into a new layer.
As you can see from the red circles, the bimbo overlaps onto the border. Fixing this is as easy as breathing

Just select your eraser tool, change it to a large size (i chose the largest lol) and just wipe across the overlapping bits!

Add your writing, and save it!

Introduction to Gimp

First of all, you can download gimp from here. www.gimp.org.

Brushes can be downloaded from anywhere. Google search it. Best thing is, brushes for photoshop also work in Gimp so everything is available to you.

Another thing i recommend using is patterns. Bad thing is, photoshop ones won't work with gimp and some gimp patterns don't work in gimp either lol. But the best thing is, normal pictures do, such as gif, png and jpeg picture files. Example. You want a pink swirly background for a banner. Seach pink swirls on photobucket or tinypic (i recommend these sites the best as there's some cool stuff there) save the image and voila! You have a pattern.

To use brushes in gimp, they need to be placed : My computer > Local Disc (c:) > Program Files > Gimp 2.0 > Shared > Gimp > 2.0 > Brushes

To use patterns in gimp, the pictures you want should go to the same place, except into the patterns folder, instead o f the brushes

Fonts are also a very important feature for making banners :) Check out the Freebies! Section on my main page and download some of my favorites. You can also see how to install the fonts on your computer so you can use them in gimp.

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my blogspot page. As you may or may not know, i've been creating tutorials for MissBimbo users mainly for gimp purposes. It has been highly successful (in my opinion anyway) so for the sake of better organization and so i can add more stuff, i've relocated here.

I've been using gimp for about 6/7 months and i'm not even good at it. But if i set up tutorials hopefully it will unleash the creativity in people!

If you have any suggestions for tutorials, i would love to hear them. Plus its an excuse not to clean my dorm room :p
